Assess cognitive aptitude

Candidates will complete a set of up to 40 questions that measure their ability to solve problems, digest and apply information, learn new skills, and think critically. The UCAT is a dynamic assessment that draws on an item bank of thousands of individually optimised test items. This means that no two candidates will ever receive the same questions, giving you confidence in their individual results.

The UCAT will give you insight into a candidate’s ability to:

  • Use logic and reasoning to solve problems and interpret data
  • Reason using numbers and numerical concepts
  • Focus on detail-oriented tasks with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Visualise, make spatial judgements and problem solve.

The UCAT is recommended for assessing any mid- to high-level positions that typically require a tertiary qualification, particularly for international candidates.

Scientifically validated

Proven validity across a wide variety of roles.

The UCAT has been extensively validated, demonstrating that the test is highly predictive of job performance for a wide variety of jobs. The UCAT has been shown to be highly correlated to other leading measures of cognitive aptitude, such as the Cognitive Aptitude Test.
